Airport Transfers from Southampton

One fixed Standard Saloon price from anywhere in Southampton — home, hotel, the station or the docks. Shown one-way. Executive, estate and minibus vehicles also available — get your exact price with the instant quote tool above.

Airport Distance Typical Time Standard Saloon
Heathrow (LHR) 69 miles ~1hr 25min £135
Gatwick (LGW) 82 miles ~1hr 45min £145
Luton (LTN) 98 miles ~2hr £190
Stansted (STN) 127 miles ~2hr 30min £250
Bristol (BRS) 83 miles ~2hr 15min £190

Why is Bristol dearer than Gatwick for much the same distance?

Because we price on driving time, not miles. Gatwick is motorway nearly all the way. Bristol runs cross-country on the A36 through Salisbury, Warminster and Bath — single carriageway for most of it, with no motorway to make up time. It's a longer job on the clock and harder work for the car and the driver, so it's priced accordingly.

Journey times are approximate and depend on traffic and time of travel — the M27 and the M25 in particular. Prices shown are for our Standard Saloon (up to 3 passengers, 2 cases).

All Five Southampton Cruise Terminals

Southampton is Europe's leading turnaround cruise port — over three million passengers a year, and a record 449 calls in 2025. We cover every terminal: a flat £60 to or from anywhere in the city, or straight to any airport we serve at the same fixed prices we quote from Southampton.

🚢 Ocean Cruise Terminal

Berth 46 in the Eastern Docks, reached via Dock Gate 4. Opened in 2009 and one of the port's busiest turnaround berths.

👑 QEII Cruise Terminal

Berths 38 and 39, also Eastern Docks via Dock Gate 4. The port's longest-serving cruise terminal, opened back in 1966 and modernised since.

⚓ Mayflower Cruise Terminal

Berth 106 in the Western Docks, via Dock Gates 10 and 20. Opened in 1960 and refurbished twice — the furthest of the terminals from the city centre.

🌊 City Cruise Terminal

Berth 101 in the Western Docks. One of the two closest terminals to Southampton Central Station — barely a mile away.

🛳️ Horizon Cruise Terminal

Berth 102 in the Western Docks. The port's newest, opened in September 2021, and one of the first in the UK with shore power.

✈️ Cruise-to-Airport Runs

Flying in before you sail, or straight home after? We do terminal-to-airport and airport-to-terminal runs to Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and Bristol — all at fixed prices.

Cruise Terminal to Airport

The same fixed price from any of the five terminals, one-way, Standard Saloon — no premium for starting at the docks.

From any cruise terminal to Standard Saloon
Heathrow (LHR) £135
Gatwick (LGW) £145
Luton (LTN) £190
Stansted (STN) £250
Bristol (BRS) £190

Just going to your ship? It's a flat £60 to or from any of the five terminals, from anywhere in Southampton — home, hotel or the station.

Ships move between terminals, so always check your own cruise documents rather than assuming — then tell us the terminal when you book and we'll get you to the right dock gate. On a busy turnaround Saturday we'd suggest allowing extra time; the gates queue.

A Hampshire Firm That Knows This City

We're not a call centre in another county. Galaxy Cars is Hampshire-based and we're in and out of Southampton every day of the week — the docks, the station, the one-way system, all of it.

🕯️ Titanic's Home Port

Titanic left Berth 44 on 10 April 1912. 724 of her crew gave Southampton addresses and 542 never came home — over a third of everyone lost that night. The Engineers' Memorial in East Park drew a crowd of around 100,000 when it was unveiled.

🏰 Walls You Can Still Walk

Roughly half of Southampton's medieval town walls survive, along with 13 of the original 29 towers and six of the eight gates. The Bargate itself dates from about 1180 and was the town's front door for the better part of 800 years.

🍷 The Vaults Under the Old Town

Southampton has more medieval underground vaults than any other town or city in Britain, built between the 12th and 15th centuries for the wine trade. Several later did service as air-raid shelters during the Blitz.

⚽ The Saints

Southampton FC was founded in 1885 by members of St Mary's Church young men's association — hence the nickname. They won the FA Cup in 1976 and moved to St Mary's Stadium in 2001 after 103 years at The Dell.

🌉 The Itchen Bridge

Opened in 1977, still a toll bridge, and the reason Woolston, Sholing and Bitterne are minutes from the centre instead of a long way round. It replaced the old floating bridge chain ferry, which had been running since 1836.

🚉 Southampton Central

One of our regular pickups. It opened in 1895 and originally stood on the waterfront — it only ended up inland because the Western Docks were built on reclaimed land in front of it during the 1920s and 30s.

The Stress-Free Way to the Airport or the Ship

We know the roads, the terminals and the dock gates — and what it takes to get you there without the stress.

🛬 Flight Monitoring

We track your flight in real time. If it's delayed or lands early, your driver adjusts — you won't be left waiting and you won't be charged extra for it.

🪧 Meet & Greet Included

Your driver waits in arrivals with a name board. No hunting round a car park after a long flight, and no wondering whether anyone turned up.

💷 Fixed Price Guaranteed

No meter, no surge pricing, no surprises when you get there. The price we quote is the price you pay, whatever the traffic does.

🕐 Early Starts Are Normal Here

A 3am pickup for a first flight out is routine work for us, not a favour. Your car is confirmed in advance and you'll get a reminder before the day.

🚢 Cruise Terminals Covered

All five Southampton terminals, plus the airport runs cruise passengers actually need. Tell us your terminal and we'll sort the right dock gate.

📞 A Real Local Business

Need to move a booking or ask a question the night before? Call or WhatsApp and you'll get a person who knows the job, not a ticket number.

Pickups Right Across Southampton

Every part of the city, both sides of the Itchen, and the surrounding towns too. Don't see your area? Call us — we cover a wide patch.

A local run to or from any cruise terminal is a flat £60. There's no meter and no surge pricing — the price you're quoted is the price you pay.

Which airports do you cover from Southampton?

We cover Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and Bristol as standard. If you're flying from somewhere else, call us and we'll quote you.

Do you cover the Southampton cruise terminals?

Yes — all five of them: Ocean, QEII, Mayflower, City and Horizon. A transfer to or from any terminal, anywhere within Southampton, is a flat £60. Terminal-to-airport runs are the same fixed prices we quote from the city: £135 to Heathrow, £145 to Gatwick, £190 to Luton, £250 to Stansted and £190 to Bristol.

Which Southampton cruise terminal does my ship use?

Ships move between terminals, so always go by your own cruise documents rather than a general rule. Ocean and QEII are in the Eastern Docks via Dock Gate 4; City, Horizon and Mayflower are in the Western Docks via Dock Gates 10 and 20. Tell us your terminal when you book and your driver will take you to the right gate.

Do you collect from Southampton Central Station?

Yes. Southampton Central is one of our regular pickup points, whether you're coming in from London Waterloo or connecting from elsewhere before heading to an airport or a ship.

How far in advance should I book?

As soon as your dates are confirmed is best, particularly for early flights and for cruise turnaround Saturdays, when the whole city gets busy. We do take short-notice and same-day bookings where a car is free — just call us.

Do you offer return transfers back to Southampton?

Yes. Book the outbound and return together to lock in both fixed prices, and we'll track your return flight so your driver adjusts automatically if you land early or late.

Can you take a group, or lots of luggage?

Yes — we run estates, MPVs and minibuses alongside the saloons, which matters if you're heading off on a cruise with a case each. Put your passenger and luggage numbers into the quote tool above and it'll price the right vehicle.
